Mining Contract Operations
In 2008, a mining contract was signed between Ciftay and Erdemir Madencilik San. Ve Tic. A.Ş. which is a subsidiary company of OYAK. Under the contract, Ciftay conducts its mining activities both in underground and open-pit mines in Divriği which is the district of Sivas. Ciftay produces 35% iron ore needs of Turkey and meets 15% of its iron ore needs.
Ciftay has also been conducting all mining and construction activities in CENTERRA GOLD’s mine site which is located in Develi/Kayseri, since 2018. Operations related to mining and construction works of Alamos Gold’s mine site which is located in Can district of Canakkale, has started early May 2019. The mining and construction operations of 3 gold mine sites out of 5, are conducted by Ciftay in Turkey.
